Tax services

Tax exposure is rarely created at filing. It is created months earlier, in how transactions were recorded and decisions were made.

The cheapest tax work is the kind done before the assessment arrives.

Tax audit support

When the Revenue Authority raises an audit or an assessment, the outcome usually turns on documentation and on how the position is argued. We prepare the response, assemble the supporting evidence and deal with the correspondence.

If an assessment has already landed, bring it to us before you respond. An early reply made without advice is difficult to walk back.

Tax compliance and filing

Corporate income tax, VAT, PAYE, withholding tax and the associated returns, prepared and filed on schedule. For businesses without an internal tax function, we run the calendar so nothing is missed.

Tax health check

A structured review of your current tax position across all applicable taxes, identifying exposure before it becomes an assessment and relief you are entitled to but not claiming.

This is the single most useful piece of tax work for a growing business, and most never do it until something goes wrong.

Tax planning and advisory

Structuring transactions, expansions and group arrangements with the tax consequence understood in advance. Legitimate planning, built on the law as it stands, documented so it survives scrutiny.

Payroll tax and employee matters

PAYE computation, SSNIT obligations and the treatment of benefits, allowances and contractor arrangements, which is where most payroll exposure is quietly accumulating.

Where automation changes the tax picture

A large share of tax exposure comes from record keeping, not from aggressive positions. Transactions logged late, VAT invoices that were never properly captured, withholding that was deducted but not tracked.

Because we build finance systems as well as audit them, we can close that gap at the source: automated capture, automated reconciliation and a trail that stands up when somebody asks for it.

Common questions

We have received an assessment we disagree with. What now?

Do not respond yet. Send us the assessment and the underlying records. There are defined objection timelines, so speed matters, but so does the quality of the first response.

We have not filed for several periods.

That is more common than people think and it is fixable. We will establish the extent of it, quantify the likely penalty exposure and work out a regularisation approach.

Can you handle both our audit and our tax?

We can handle both for many clients. Where independence rules apply to a particular engagement, we will tell you upfront and structure the work accordingly.

Work with us

Start with a conversation.

Whether it is a statutory deadline, a tax position you are unsure of, or an operation drowning in manual work, the first conversation costs nothing and usually clarifies a great deal.
